Two-shot shift panorama with the 17L, giving the equivalent field of view of an 11mm lens, the widest rectilinear in existence. (Though as you can see on the right side, it’s not quite perfectly rectilinear at the edges.) This is a very large bridge from a very close point of view, and that’s much more obvious in the print.
Those of you outside Minnesota may remember that we had a major bridge collapse into the Mississippi on August 1, 2007. This is the ten-lane concrete bridge that replaced it. They have a wide variety of colored lighting options, but the most common is this cool blue.
