I’ve got several new winter Readers coming up. This one is on Pilot Knob in Mendota Heights. The hill is a landmark for the confluence of the Minnesota and Mississippi rivers, and is a sacred site, Oheyawahi, for to Dakota. The seven limestone blocks at Council Fires Overlook bear the names of the seven groups of Dakota. In the background is the Minnesota River Valley, and on the right the skyline of Minneapolis.
The Reader here is represented by author Marissa Lingen.
